The Manila forum was held last May 28, at the Ascot Makati in a first ever collaboration between CSR Asia and EON, The Stakeholder Relations Firm. Aimed at companies interested in strategic CSR practices, with a particular emphasis on community investment measurement and communications in the current economic climate, the Forum welcomed participants from a broad range of business sectors such as pharmaceuticals, banking, consumer, mining and energy to name a few, as well as from NGOs and international organizations. Bringing together experts with international experience, who have provided consultancy for global brands across the region, the Forum facilitated learning on how companies can leverage on CSR to promote partnerships and trust-based relationships with their stakeholders.
Divided into plenary and 3 workshop sessions, the CSR Manila Forum provided a venue to discuss local and regional CSR perspectives and present tools and methodologies that enable companies to evaluate their CSR frameworks based on the expectations of their stakeholders and communicate their CSR initiatives.
